The Great Depression
The economy was booming. The stock market was gaining money fast. A ton of businesses doubled Americas money. But suddenly the stocks dropped, everyone then proceeded to sell their stocks for a little loss. Which made the stocks drop more. Banks took money out of savings accounts to pay off loans for stocks. And then all of America was in a deep economic and self depression.
Many, many, many Americans were unemployed and homeless. Wandering the country for a place to stay, something to do, or something to eat. Many men left their families to look for a job across country. Almost all of them were unsuccessful and abandoned their family out of being ashamed of themselves. These people were called hobos. They lived along railroads in little communities and hopped on trains to travel and find a new place to stay.
